Online Faculty Support

The University of Arkansas Libraries is dedicated to improving the research and library experiences of distant students. We partner with online teaching faculty to deliver quality educational experiences. Contact the distance education librarian or your subject librarian for more information.

Library tools & resources

Our Distance Learning Library provides direct access to resources and tools for online students. Embed a link directly into your course shell. We can also place Electronic Course Reserves into Blackboard for you. Copyright questions? See our Guide for Copyrighted Materials in Online Classes.

Curriculum consultation

We can help you identify library resources or Open Education Resources for use in class. We can also advise on research assignments or projects that will require students to use research skills and find and use library and/or scholarly resources.

Customized course guides

Have an assignment that requires the use of library resources? We can create a guide that will help students navigate directly to the resources needed to complete the assignment. This saves time for busy working students! See an example of a course guide.

Library instruction

Schedule an onsite meeting during your cohort groups’ required on campus session. Librarians will introduce students to resources and walk them through registering for key services.

Embedded librarians

Invite a librarian to join your class in a Blackboard Collaborate Session or to join your course as a viewer or instructor to connect students directly to the librarian for point of need research assistance.

Video tutorials

We offer a range of instructional video tutorials on research, resources, and tools. You can link to them from your class, embed them from our YouTube channel, or we can include them in a class guide with other resources for your course.
