WARREN D. SEGRAVES

Warren D. Segraves (1925-1978) was a Fayetteville, Arkansas, architect who designed many public buildings in the area, including the Fayetteville Public Library, SWEPCO [Southwestern Electric Power Company] Division Office Building, and the Unitarian Fellowship Meeting Hall. He also designed numerous private residences in the region. He graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture in 1953 and established his own architectural firm in Fayetteville in 1956.

THE COLLECTION

Architectural drawings created by Warren D. Segraves were donated to Special Collections by O. Michael Green on May 4, 1992.

Approximately 4,125 sheets of drawings include tracings on vellum, flimsy, graph and bond paper. Included are renderings, sections, elevations, floor plans, site plans, schedules, details, and topographic maps. The drawings are arranged alphabetically by project title. The drawings are stored in five cabinets with multiple tube compartments, each with an alpha-numeric grid identification, as well as a series of tubes, which are arranged numerically.
