1. Biographical materials, 1927-1950, 1954.  3 folders.

Records pertaining primarily to the development of the political career of JTR, especially his U.S. Senate career. Arranged topically and chronologically.


2. Scrapbooks, 1900-1928, 1937. 6 ½ boxes.

Records pertaining to the political career of JTR. Subjects include: elections, speeches, legislation, and particularly the death and funeral of JTR. Records consist primarily of newspaper clippings. Scrapbooks are arranged chronologically by year, but individual contents of scrapbooks are not necessarily arranged in any order.


3. Edwilda Gertrude Miller Robinson papers, 1912-1937. 1 folder.

Correspondence pertaining to both political and private matters. Political subjects include the Women's Democratic Party and efforts to have Mrs. Robinson elected Senator after the death of her husband. Includes her statement declining to run for this senatorial office. Non-political matters include travel plans, sickness, and letters of appreciation. Arranged chronologically.


4. Posthumous records, 1937-1943.  2 folders.

Records pertaining primarily to the death and funeral of JTR, including letters of condolence. Correspondence is addressed primarily to Mrs. Robinson or to the JTR office staff. Other subjects include political matters such as legislation and requests for employment. Arranged chronologically.


5. Financial, business, tax, and property records, l 908-1937. 2 folders. RESTRICTED

Records pertaining to the personal business affairs of JTR. Includes correspondence and documents concerning insurance policies, debts, loans, purchases, and sales. Arranged chronologically. Cross reference: 1:10.


6. Records pertaining to private law practice, 1903 - 1912, 1919- 1936. 3 l/2 boxes.

Correspondence primarily related to cases handled by JTR, particularly hearings, trials, new cases, legal fees, and legal advice. Correspondence mainly with JTR's legal associates or with his clients. Law firms to which JTR belonged included the following, in chronological order: Trimble and Robinson; Trimble, Robinson and Trimble; Coleman, Robinson, and House; and Robinson, House and Moses. Records concern cases of both individuals and corporations, including Arkansas Power and Light. Arranged topically and chronologically.


7. Records pertaining to charitable contributions by JTR, 1927-1937.  l folder.

Correspondents include individuals and such organizations as churches, charities, the Democratic Party, and the American Red Cross. Arranged chronologically. Cross reference 1:10.


8. Records pertaining to Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation, 1926-1937. 1 folder.

Records pertaining to the Foundation, whose purpose is to promote Jeffersonian Democratic ideals. Included are Foundation reports, general correspondence, and requests for JTR to serve on Foundation committees. Arranged chronologically.


9. Records pertaining to outdoor recreation, 1922-1937. l folder.

Records pertaining to the recreational activities of JTR, particularly fishing, hunting, and golf. Correspondents are primarily close associates and friends. Arranged chronologically. Cross reference 1:10.


10. Other personal papers, 1903-1937. 1 folder.

Records pertaining primarily to non-political affairs such as reunions, the death of friends, and news from relatives about school and other matters. Also includes JTR's passports and his Christmas card list. Arranged chronologically. Cross reference 1:15, 1:7, 1:9.
