Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of papers of refugee service organizations pertaining to the Cuban refugees from Mariel, Cuba, known as the "Marielitos"; correspondence and information concerning Cuban refugees in California, Florida, and Costa Rica; questionnaires and interviews with the Cuban refugees; correspondence of Gaston A. Fernandez (son of Gaston Fernandez: see MC 870); and census-related statistics and clippings. This collection is an addendum to Manuscript Collection 870.
