Biographical Note

The Fayetteville Garden Club, founded in January 1932, organized programs about home gardening, landscaping, horticulture, conservation, and flower arranging and sponsored community beautification such as planting of shade trees in the city. The members also held yearly spring picnics and arranged garden plant exchanges. The Fayetteville Garden Club was affiliated with the Fayetteville Council of Garden Clubs organized in 1949, the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc., and the National Council of State Garden Clubs.
