Historical Sketch

The Ozark Society autonomous chapter, the Highlands Chapter, was organized at a meeting in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on December 4, 1970 with Richard Murray elected chairman. The Chapter, in accordance with the Ozark Society principal purpose, is dedicated to the conservation, education, and recreation.
