Biographical Note
Sedgwick Harwood Watson was born September 3, 1915 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Watson and grew up in Troy, New York. He graduated high school in Lansingburg, New York. As a young man he worked in the timber industry in upper New England before serving in the Seabees in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He later joined the U.S. Forest Service and worked as a ranger in the Warm Springs Ranger District of Virginia, before working as a forestry technician in the White River National Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas.
Watson died February 27, 2007 in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas.
