Biographical Note

In 1927, Lacy McCulloch, a professor in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, worked three months for Thomas A. Edison investigating latex-bearing plants, bushes, and shrubs in Arkansas that could be used in the production of rubber in the United States.
