Biographical Note
Scant information is available on George W. Russell. He was born in Arkansas in February 1861 and operated a clothing store in Ozark, Franklin County, Arkansas, in the early 1900s. Russell also served as an alderman and school board member in Ozark.
Russell married his wife Nannie (born June 1869) about 1890, and the couple had at least three biological sons, William, Harold, and Frederick, as well as one adopted daughter, Jewel. Mr. Russell died May 24, 1917, of tuberculosis.
