This collection includes a single photograph album. The album contains 50 silver-gelatin prints created by an unknown Army nurse stationed in Arkansas and Texas. The photographs document the daily life of the nurse, her patients, and her students.

Biographical Note

An unidentified Army nurse compiled this photograph album, which depicts her military assignments in Arkansas and Texas near the end of World War I. The album focuses primarily on her daily life at two military bases. The nurse was stationed at U.S. Army Base Hospital no. 3, Camp Pike (now Camp Robinson), Little Rock, Arkansas from January 20 to June 24, 1919. While in Arkansas she taught classes in mechanical drawing and commercial art at a vocational school. She was later reassigned to U.S. Army Base Hospital no. 1, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. She was in Texas from June 26 to September 1, 1919.
