Biographical Note

Harmon L. Remmel Jr. was born on November 14th, 1916 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Remmel is the son of Harmon Liveright Remmel, a prominant figure in the Arkansas Republican Party, and Elizabeth Cameron. Remmel graduated from Little Rock High School in 1930. He went on to attend the University of Michigan, later transferring to the University of Arkansas, from which he graduated in 1941. Remmel married Shiela Bucknall and had one son, Harmon Remmel III. Harmon Remmel Jr. died on September 27th 2003.
