The collection consists of a scrapbook belonging to Katie Emrich of Fort Smith, Arkansas, as well as enclosed ephemera and correspondence. The scrapbook primarily contains clippings of poetry and of newspaper articles regarding Emrich's family members.

Biographical Note
Katie Emrich was born circa 1859. She and her two brothers were raised by their aunt, Sue Bonneville, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In 1902, Emrich married Charles J. Jewett. She passed away October 11, 1911, and is buried in Fort Smith's Calvary Cemetery.

Materials are arranged by format. Loose materials originally found at the end of the scrapbook have been foldered separately; loose materials interleaved within the scrapbook have been left in their original page locations.
Acquisition Information
The Katie Emrich Jewett Materials were donated to the Special Collections Department by Rachel Busch of Fayetteville, Arkansas on March 12, 2017.
