This collection contains research materials on Sunnyside and Tontitown, Arkansas that were compiled by Edward Stibili during his research for Pietro Bandini: Missionary, Social Worker, and Colonizer, 1852-1917 (2017). Collection materials are predominantly photocopies of books, periodicals, archival sources, and correspondence; the collection does not contain original 19th- or 20th- century documents.

Biographical Note
Dr. Edward Claude Stibili is the author of Pietro Bandini: Missionary, Social Worker, and Colonizer, 1852-1917 (2017) and What Can Be Done to Help Them?: The Italian Saint Raphael Society, 1887-1923 (2003), and co-editor of Italian Americans and Religion, An Annotated Bibliography (1992). Stibili received his PhD in History from the University of Notre Dame in 1977.

Arrangement of the Papers
Materials were arranged by the creator in two groupings, based on topic:
- Sunnyside Materials, 1894-2015 (Box 1)
- Tontitown Materials, 1795-2010 (Box 2)
Materials in each series were further arranged by the source institution where Stibili gathered the materials. Although materials have been rehoused during procesing, the creator's original order and titling conventions have been retained.

The Edward Stibili Pietro Bandini: Missionary, Social Worker, and Colonizer Research Materials were donated to the Special Collections Department by Edward Stibili of Sicklerville, New Jersey on August 15, 2017.
