Black-and-white photographic postcards created by an unidentified man and distributed by the J. O. Shelby Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Postcards were likely printed ca 2000-2017; however, they include reproductions of photographs from the 1928 United Confederate Veterans Reunion and Parade held in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Biographical Note

The Sons of Confederate Veterans is an offshoot of the United Confederate Veterans (UCV), and was created to honor Confederate veterans of the U. S. Civil War. The Gen. J.O. Shelby Camp No. 1414 is the Harrison, Arkansas chapter of the organization.

Acquisition Information

The Sons of Confederate Veterans Postcards were donated to the Special Collections Department by James J. Johnston of Fayetteville, Arkansas in April 2018.

Johnston received them from David Krueger, Commander of the Gen. J. O. Shelby Camp.
