Biographical Note

Bernard Rapoport (1917-2012) was an entrepreneur and philanthropist. In 1987, he established the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Foundation, which focuses on supporting education and childhood and youth programs, particularly in Waco, Texas. He later served on the Board of Regents of the University of Texas System and, as an appointee of President Bill Clinton, on the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations.
