The Brush and Palette Guild was founded in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in 1942 by Eva Jane Pearson and other local artists in order to encourage the study and art of painting, as well as to organize local exhibitions. In 1992, its name was changed to the Pine Bluff Art League.
