Berta Lena Seitz Papers

 Collection
Identifier: MC 2377

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of the papers of Berta Seitz, primarily pertaining to her roles in Northwest Arkansas community organizations and political advocacy. These include records from the Washington County Women's History Month annual banquet planning committee, petitions from an Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) petition drive, and contact lists and cards, as well as other materials. Card files containing contact information appear to have primarily been used in membership drives for the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and for petition campaigns; additional information contained on the cards varies, but also sometimes includes information about organizational memberships, attendance at NOW events, and results of previous contact attempts. Notes and clippings are interfiled throughout the card files.
