Audio cassette tape containing a March 21, 1986, oral history interview of Stella Scurlock, conducted in Piggott, Arkansas by an unidentified interviewer. Topics include Scurlock's experience as a University of Arkansas student from 1914-1917, her work with the national Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), including as national student secretary, as well as her involvement with the General Federation of Women's Clubs, and her experience growing up in Piggott.

Biographical Note

Stella Scurlock was born December 29, 1895, and grew up in Piggott, Arkansas. She attended the University of Arkansas between 1914-1917, and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She later worked with the YWCA, including as national student secretary, and was an active member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. Scurlock passed away April 25, 1989, at the age of 94.
