Biographical Note

George G. Lea was a Princeton, Arkansas planter during the mid-nineteenth century.

Scope and Content Note

Contract, executed December 29, 1865, between Princeton Township, Dallas County, Ark. corn and cotton planter Lea and 15 named freemen (4 adults and 11 children) engaged to cultivate his lands on shares in the 12 months period beginning January 1, 1866.
