Kurt W. Marquardt Papers

 Collection
Identifier: MC 540

Scope and Content Note

Correspondence, clippings, notes, photographs, and other materials pertaining to the ministry of the Reverend Kurt W. Marquardt.

The collection consists mainly of sermon and Bible lesson notes, articles, and 35 mm slides pertaining to or documenting the religious work of the Reverend Kurt W. Marquardt. Sermon and Bible lesson notes and outlines were originally grouped by themes in envelopes and folders. Envelopes and folders have been removed, but the order has been maintained and captions from folders are noted in quotation marks. Captions from envelopes have been photocopied and are clipped to formerly enclosed notes. The 35 mm slides, most of them numbered, were originally kept in a slotted slide file box. Since two slides fit in one slot, in most cases the numbers were used for two different slides. Most of the slides are both numbered and labeled, and the index for the slide file box (though not necessarily accurate) in included in the collection. The slides are housed in the Special Collections Transparencies File.
