Scope and Content Note
The second accession of the official records comprises several installments of CIES records received in Special Collections between 1997 and 2008. The collection includes correspondence, memoranda, agreements, program proposals, reports, and other records documenting the program histories of participating countries in seven geographical areas (Africa, East Asia and the Pacific, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and Canad, Middle East-South Asia, and Western Europe) from 1949 to 2008. The collection also contains CIES publications and outreach materials.

Acquisition Information
The Council for International Exchange of Scholars Records Addendum were donated to the Special Collections Department, University of Arkansas Libraries at various dates by the Council.
