The material was collected by Paul Haynie in the course of his research on the history of the Churches of Christ in Arkansas. Included are photocopies of church records; programs, directories, and other church publications; histories of the churches compiled by members; genealogies; and photographs.

Arrangement of the Papers
The churches are arranged alphabetically by county, then by city, and then by name of church. A large poster consisting of photographs of "Washington County Churches of Christ" was originally included; the photographs were separated for preservation purposes.
Acquisition Information
Papers and photographs pertaining to the Churches of Christ in Northwest Arkansas were donated to Special Collections by Paul Haynie, Blytheville, Arkansas, 29 April 1988.
