Acquisition Information

Marnelle Thomsen, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, donated her scrapbook and a collection of her father's photographs to the University Museum and the University Press in 1988. On August 19, 1988 these items were transferred to the Special Collections Department of the University Libraries.

Biographical Note

The daughter of former Arkansas Razorback football coach Fred C. Thomsen, Marnelle Thomsen attended the University of Arkansas from 1949 to 1952. While there, she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority.

Scope and Content Note

This collection includes a scrapbook (1949-1952) created by Marnelle Thomsen while she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority at the University of Arkansas. It also includes photographs pertaining to the career of her father, Fred C. Thomsen, who was Razorback Football Coach from 1928 to 1942.
