Biographical Note
Reverend Thomas B. (T. B.) Lunsford (1838-1900) was a Presbyterian minister. He married Elizabeth B. (Bettie) Calhoun on August 16, 1866, in Rockbridge County, Virginia. They soon after moved to Springdale, Arkansas, where he taught at a private school and served as pastor of a Presbyterian church. Lunsford passed away May 24, 1900, and is buried in Springdale's Bluff Cemetery.
At the time Lunsford wrote the letters in this collection, he was a student at Union Theological Seminary, which was then on the campus at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
