Beaver; term project for Arkansas folklore; fall semester 1958-1959," being a part (January 1-December 31, 1901) of the diary of a highly literate and articulate log cutter in the vicinity of Mena, Arkansas, transcribed and preface added by Beaver from original manuscript in possession of Roger A. McMillan of Mena.

Biographical Note

Ormie Twiford was a log cutter who lived and worked near Mena, Arkansas. He was born in 1869 and passed away in 1913.
