Scope and Content Note

Contains 15 folders of World War I posters, booklets, leaflets, postcards, military induction forms, and periodicals. The material particularly concerns the U. S. Treasury Department's campaign to promote the sale of Government Savings Bonds and Thrift Stamps.

Box 2 contains an additional 17 duplicate copies of 13 posters originally found in Folders 1-5.

Materials originally housed as Folders 1-5, Items 1-47, were moved to be stored with the Broadside Collection circa 1983-1990, and were renumbered as items 521-534 and 536-566 at that time.

Materials were collected by the Special Collections Department prior to February 1968.
