Dean of Libraries Search

The University of Arkansas has exclusively engaged Jack Farrell & Associates to find its next Dean of Libraries.

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced and nationally engaged leader who will develop an enhanced vision for providing interdisciplinary and innovative scholarship support for the campus, in alignment with the University of Arkansas’ guiding priorities and mission as a public land-grant institution. Integral to this vision is the renewal of Mullins Library, the 230,000-square-foot core research library for the campus.

Together with the administrative team, the Dean will establish clear priorities for the University Libraries’ external and internal functions; supervise recruitment and retention of top-level faculty and staff; oversee all budgetary concerns, including managing the distribution of assets from more than $50 million of endowed funds; advocate strongly for the University Libraries; and serve as the chief fundraiser for the unit. The Dean will also foster collaborative relations within the university community, state, and region. Candidates must espouse a personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
