Special Collections will continue to offer research services during the Mullins Library Phase II renovation. We will attempt to fulfill all research requests; however, certain materials may not be available for research use during the renovation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Temporary Location and Hours of Operation
Special Collections will be closed from August 22-September 5, 2022, while we move to the third floor of Mullins Library in room 329. The reading room will reopen on September 6, 2022, by appointment only. In the meantime, please review the modified services Special Collections will provide during the Mullins Library Phase II renovation listed below.
Due to logistical constraints, Research Services will temporarily modify services.
During Phase II of the Mullins Library renovation, all researchers must schedule an appointment to use the reading room at least five business days in advance of their visit. To do so, please email or call Research Services at email@example.com or 479-575-8444.
Researchers will be able to request up to five boxes per day. If you need research assistance, a Research Services staff member can provide up to one hour of research assistance per semester. If Research Services is unable to complete the request in the allotted timeframe, the researcher has the option to schedule an in-person visit OR hire a proxy researcher through the University of Arkansas History Department. Research Services will continue to provide up to 300 pages of access copies free of charge per semester.
