EUCHEMUSA: The Transatlantic Dual BS Degree in Chemistry
by Gawley, Robert E.; Aube, Jeffrey; Reiser, Oliver; James, Paraic
With funding from the US Department of Education and the European Commission, a transatlantic dual BS degree program has been established. US students spend one semester at Dublin City University and one semester at the University of Regensburg. European students spend one year at a US institution, either KU or UA. Upon completion of the program, students receive BS degrees from the US institution and a European institution. The details of how this program works will be presented. Independent of the dual degree, the problem of articulating advanced chem. coursework in a study-abroad program will be addressed briefly.
