The hydrolysis of 8-acetoxyquinoline.

Hydrolysis reactions of 7-acetoxyquinoline and 8-acetoxyquinoline were studied at 35° at pH 0-10 by spectrophotometric measurement in the UV region. The reactions were 1st order and highly sensitive to pH. Results are reported graphically.
