A review. In this article the author is discussing about measurement of cytokines in the brain. Another significant need is the creation of bioinformatics approaches that can be used in combination with cytokine and other brain neurotransmitter measurements. Cytokines work in networks with other cytokines and in concert with different neurotransmitters. Being able to measure the combination of both and perform appropriate data analyses is necessary to fully elucidate chem. communication processes in the brain.
