Graduate Student Speaker Series
In collaboration with the Graduate School and International Education, the University Libraries are launching a Graduate Student Speaker Series during the Fall 2018 semester. All graduate students are welcome to apply. Share any research or project you have done using materials from Special Collections.
November 15, 2018 at 4 PM, Jama Grove, graduate student in history, will present on the use of pesticides in Arkansas farming, with an emphasis on DDT, a chemical compound used as an insecticide that entered the domestic market after World War II.
December 6, 2018 at 4 PM, Sarah Riva, graduate student in history, will present her research on the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee.
Light refreshments will be served. This series is free and open to the public.
